The MPA is the collective voice of music publishing in the UK. As well as offering training, support and services to our members, we ensure that music publishers are represented in all discussions with industry, media and politicians.
The MPA encourages open participation in policy making. Through our committees and our member-elected board, we strive to ensure that music publishers are fully represented in discussions with Government, the wider music business and the general public.
From mid to high-level executives, these focus on specific market and international developments, including policy and copyright. Recent subjects have included “Music Publishing Current Affairs in the US” and “Sub-publishing, Global Licensing & the Changing International Landscape”.
The MPA is fully supportive of wider industry initiatives to reduce unlicensed use of our members works, and to guide consumers towards legitimate services that help grow the UK’s music market.
The MPA is a passionate advocate of reaching out to the next generation of music publishers - ensuring we continue to attract the brightest and most diverse new talent.
