Helen Choudhury, Head of Diversity, Equality & Inclusion, MPA joins host Dr. Hayleigh Bosher on the ‘Whose Song Is It Anyway?’ podcast to discuss her incredible work & MPA initiatives including our Employee Networks and M³ Guidance.

The M³ document outlines advice for managers to support their employees going through either the three stages of menopause (menopause, perimenopause and post-menopause), period-related health issues or pregnancy loss and promotes an inclusive workplace environment. Over 900,000 women in the UK have recently left the workforce due to lack of support from their organisations (Wellbeing of Women, 2022). This guidance seeks to challenge the stigma associated with these health matters and encourages candid and respectful conversations.

Episode Description

Helen Choudhury is an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion change management specialist and Head of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Music Publishers Association. Helen tells us about how she got into this work and what she has been doing in her role at the MPA. Helen also shares about how her work has been informed by her experience of living with endometriosis and adenomyosis and talks us through the MPA M³ guidance on menstruation, miscarriage, and menopause. We explore the drop-off of women leaving the workplace due to lack of support for people experiencing challenges with menopause.
