UK Music has launched its annual economic survey for music creators, to give the industry a better understanding of the economic landscape of the music industry.

As the collective voice for the UK music industry, UK Music needs data on creator’s earnings in 2023 in order to calculate the economic contribution the music industry made to the UK last year.

This information is important to policymakers and helps UK Music and its members call to the Government for support for creators. Find out more about what UK Music do here.

The survey will form a key part of UK Music’s annual economic report, This Is Music, which will be published this autumn. Last year’s report can be read here.

The survey is open to anyone who is a full-time or part-time professional music creator. This includes artists, musicians, composers, songwriters, lyricists, singers, producers, engineers and DJs.

The data is being collected on behalf of UK Music by AudienceNet. For more information on how your data will be handled see the statement at the top of the survey.
