The Code is part of the Government’s response to the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee’s Inquiry into Music Streaming.
The Code was developed and agreed by 12 music industry bodies (including the MPA), representing publishers, music creators, record labels, digital service providers, distributors & collecting societies.
The MPA are official signatories of the Code.
From 31 July 2024, all MPA members will be required to act in accordance with the Code.
