Are you looking for a safe space, professional development opportunities, or a sense of belonging at work? The MPA’s 10 employee networks offer all of this and more, and they’re open to all members.

These groups have been running for over 3 years and are identity or experience-based communities where you can connect, grow, and drive meaningful change.

What is an Employee Network?

Employee Networks, sometimes referred to as Employee Resource Groups, Affinity Groups, or Diversity Networks, are voluntary, employee-led communities built around shared identities, lived experiences, or common interests. At the MPA, these networks provide safe and inclusive spaces for individuals to connect, support one another, and grow personally and professionally.

Each network is founded with the support of our DEI team and varies in size depending on its focus. Participation is entirely voluntary and takes place during working hours, with no impact on pay.

Why Do Employee Networks Exist?

The purpose of MPA Employee Networks is to:

  • Create an open forum for employees and members who share a common identity to meet and support one another in building their community and sense of belonging.
  • Empowers these groups by offering them training support, organisational support and access to decision makers.
  • Facilitates a clear line of communication from the Network to leadership in order to voice concerns and solve problems.
  • Seeks to advance a respectful and inclusive company culture.

Some of the topics covered over the last 3 years have included depression, workplace adaptation and support, Autism, ADHD, Trauma, Women’s Health, Men’s health, LGBTQIA+, Suicide, Domestic Violence, Discrimination, CBT, Healthy Mind Platter, Biopsychosocial Model of Mental Health, Social Class Barriers, Code Switching, Digital Detoxification, how to be more confident at work and more…

Why join MPA Employee Networks?
