Applications are now open for the NXT-Gen Scholars Programme 2026, and we are encouraging all MPA members to share with their networks and relevant teams.
The NXT-Gen Scholarship aims to nurture the next generation of music professionals by providing free support and career-building resources to ten scholars for one year.
Scholars are assigned a mentor to help guide them towards a lasting career within the music industry and given access to a dynamic mix of in-person and online events, including all MPA training courses, social events, networking opportunities, Employee Networks and specialist/ technical workshops.
Applications are invited from those who are proactive and driven in the early stages of their careers (0-3 years of experience) and identify as belonging to one or more of the nine protected characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
The programme also offers one-on-one support from the MPA DEI team in CV/application writing and interview techniques.
MPA Head of DEI, CSR & Wellbeing, Helen Choudhry said:
“At the MPA, we believe talent knows no boundaries. We know creativity and potential exist in every community, yet barriers like social mobility and underrepresentation can hold people back.”
“We’re proud to launch the 2026 scholarship applications and hope to help bring diverse new voices into the industry through mentoring, training, networking and tailored support.”
“We want to see a more inclusive and innovative industry, so whether you’re just starting, changing careers, or overcoming obstacles, this is your chance to join the future of music publishing.”
Applications are now open for 2026 until 17th October 2025.
