Mystified by Music Publishing? Whether you’re a new starter, in need of a refresher (or even working in any part of the music business) this definitive course covers all of the fundamentals, from legal to creative and across business specialisms.

Join us for two days of talks and discussions putting the spotlight on all areas of music publishing; copyright royalties, sync, societies, legal issues and data.

Day 1 – How does Publishing work?
We will cover all the fundamentals behind music publishing, including a talk from Sentric explaining ‘WTF is Music Publishing’.

Gain expert insights on copyright, publishing specialities, publishing agreements, collecting income as well as an opportunity to ask the experts any questions you might have.

Day 2 – Creative Relationships
Day 2 will centre around creative relationships, sync, partnerships & networks.

Topics covered will include sync licensing, sub-publishing as well as some incredible ‘In Conversations’ with music publishing icons.

Each ticket includes refreshments and lunch. Networking drinks will also be hosted after the Day 2 programme.

Ticket price includes lunch and refreshments throughout the two days.

The cost of each ticket includes a £5.00 levy for the MPA Richard Toeman Scholarship fund, established to support the progress of outstanding
individuals within the music publishing industry.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Bookings can only be confirmed on receipt of a completed application form (online or via booking form), accompanied by a cheque or by
    notification of a secure BACS payment. A receipted invoice will be sent to the named contact after the booking has been confirmed. If the
    booking cannot be confirmed your cheque will be returned, or BACS payment reimbursed.
  2. Once the booking has been made, the MPA will issue a sales invoice within the next 7 working days.
  3. Once the booking has been confirmed, that person for whom the booking has been made will be contacted separately with full details of the
    event.
  4. No refunds can be made in connection with this event once your booking has been accepted and confirmed.
  5. In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled the MPA cannot be held accountable for any pre-booked travel costs.
