JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Finance and Royalties Assistant who will be responsible for supporting key aspects of the royalties process in addition to undertaking bookkeeping tasks. To thrive in the position, you will need to be an enthusiastic team player who is motivated and inquisitive. The role is based in our Fulham office and the successful candidate will report to the company’s Finance and Royalties Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the Finance and Royalties teams in the delivery of their functions.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties, focusing on inputting royalties received into our cloud-based accounting software (Xero) as well as maintaining records for our overseas companies.
  • Downloading income statements from sub-publishers and societies and logging the details in our database.
  • Helping to import and match royalty statements.
  • Processing statements and preparing documentation for outgoing royalties in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with the Finance and Royalties departments to raise and send out sales invoices, promptly chasing debtors and accurately tracking revenue.
  • Supporting the preparation of applications for double taxation relief with respect to incoming royalties and requesting appropriate tax documentation from clients in relation to royalties payable.
  • Undertaking any ad hoc tasks assigned by the team.
  • Being an ambassador for the company.
