Kim Shillinglaw appointed Chair of MCPS

We are delighted to announce that Kim Shillinglaw has been appointed Chair of MCPS.
Kim was elected Chair of MCPS at its Annual General Meeting held on 25 June, succeeding Jackie Alway OBE who served as Chair since 2020.
Kim has served on the MCPS Board since September 2022 and brings extensive leadership experience from across the creative industries. She has held senior executive and non-executive Director roles spanning broadcasting, television production and digital media.
Commenting on her appointment, Kim Shillinglaw said:
“I am honoured to be appointed Chair of MCPS. I look forward to working with the Board and the team to continue supporting music publishers, songwriters, composers and lyricists and ensuring MCPS remains at the forefront of modern cost-efficient mechanical collective licensing. At a time of significant change across the creative industries, it is more important than ever that we work together to protect the value of musical works and champion the rights of all of our members.”

“It has been a privilege to serve as Chair of MCPS. I am delighted to be handing over to Kim, whose experience and leadership make her an excellent choice. I know MCPS will continue to go from strength to strength under her stewardship.”
