Main purpose of role.
|
PMLL now has a requirement to appoint two School Outreach Officers to liaise directly on a face-to-face basis with schools licensed under the Schools Printed Music Licence (SPML) and to collect data from them on the specific copyright works which have been copied or arranged under the terms of the licence. This activity is part of a data collection trial which will last for a period of approximately 12 months. |
Location, hours & pay.

PMLL is proposing to conduct this data collection and associated school’s liaison activity on a trial basis during the terms of the 2024/25 school year. The roles would therefore be suitable for persons preferring to work on a term-time only basis, but the appointment of persons for a fixed term can also be considered.
The roles will be on a part-time basis for 3 days per week (i.e. up to a total of 21 hours per week) and payment will be equivalent to a daily rate of £180 per day plus necessary traveling expenses.
The data collection trial is being conducted in schools in the UK which are licenced either via central agreements with the relevant governments or on an individual basis, and therefore the work can be carried out in schools within the Local Education Authority or area where the post holders live, provided that the location of local schools means that at least two school visits can be made each working day. |
Specific requirements.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake (or will have undergone) a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
As these roles are peripatetic and successful candidates will require their own transport or have adequate access to local public transport services to carry out school visits (and expenses will be re-imbursed in either case). |
