Job Description:

You will help provide the highest level of publishing administration services for our songwriters, looking after copyrights, royalties and assisting other departments. You will be responsible for summarising agreements, maintenance and creation of clients on the copyright database and communication with the PRS. You will also work closely with the company’s copyright and royalty teams to ensure that our songwriters and composers receive payment wherever their compositions are used commercially. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of copyright, royalties and music publishing, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest level of publishing administration services for our artists, clients and internal departments.
  • Summarising and inputting agreements into the administration database including royalty rates, contact info and agreement details.
  • Manage error and suspense reports.
  • Work closely with the company’s Head of Copyright and Head of Royalties to ensure that our client’s catalogues are registered and maintained.
  • Help ensure that all copyright registrations and royalty matching processes are accurate.
  • Implementation of procedures to streamline and improve administration.
  • Respond to queries from internal and external interested parties.
  • Keep up to date with changes in copyright and royalty music publishing.
  • Manage client expectations.

 

Requirements:

  • A deep understanding of copyright, royalties and music publishing.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Experience in music publishing (5+ years).
  • High quality Excel/Word/Outlook/Monday expertise.
  • Strong problem solving.
  • Show initiative and help implement improvement within administration.
  • Proven track record of implementing coherent publishing strategies.
  • Hybrid working.
