Salary
£40,000 pro-rated: £16,000 per annum working 16 hours per week.

Managing Director, PMLL

Summary
The MPA Group of Companies owns two commercial businesses: PMLL and MCPS. This role is a fantastic opportunity to support the management team for the Group. It is an exciting time to join the company as it seeks to implement new business development opportunities and enhance and develop a strong multi-disciplined team. This role will require attendance at the office on a part-time basis Monday to Thursday each week from 9 am to 1 pm, it will not offer the ability to work from home.

Duties
To run an effective and efficient office, both operationally and procedurally and provide administrative support to the senior management team of the MPA Group Companies. 

Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:

Office and Facilities Management:

  • Manage the MPA Group’s Information and Technology needs.
  • Troubleshoot office management issues and manage the implementation of new and revised systems in relevant areas such as IT and HR.
  • Negotiate and liaise with the landlord on all aspects of the MPA’s tenancy, with support from senior management.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with health and safety as well as fire regulations within the office.
  • Negotiate and manage all office supplier contracts.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors as required from time to time.
  • Maintain and manage the ordering of office supplies and equipment and update the office procedures manual as required.
  • Attend any relevant meetings related to the company tenancy agreement.

Board and Committee Administration for MPA Group Companies:

  • Coordinate room bookings and room preparation (including the provision of refreshments) with support from relevant MPA Group colleagues.
  • Book and liaise with any guests attending meetings.

General:

  • Provide support to other staff as necessary and generally in the event of any absenteeism.
  • Take an interest in what the MPA is doing for its members and keep abreast of developments as much as possible.
  • Attend staff meetings and other meetings and events as required 
  • Assist, if required, as directed with all MPA events.

Essential skills and person specification

  • Efficient and experienced in the role and responsibilities of an Executive Assistant.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication.
  • Highly organised, flexible, and proactive with the ability to multi-task, join the dots and prove meticulous diligence.
  • Discreet and confidential.
  • Able to work both reactively and proactively.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and work under pressure as needed.
  • Comfortable liaising at all levels with MPA members, other music industry organisations, high-profile figures, members of the public and others as needed.
  • Computer literate (proficient in all Microsoft Office programmes).
  • Experience of (or an interest in) the music industry is desirable.
