We have an exciting opportunity for someone interested in classical music to gain wide-ranging experience in the music publishing industry.
The Internship Based in North London, Stainer & Bell has a small, friendly, dedicated team with a passion for classical music and expertise in printed music publishing.
For the first time, we’re offering a 12-month internship, providing hands-on experience in all aspects of the business. Initially based in our Sales and Accounts department, the successful applicant will acquire knowledge of the music trade and be involved in customer services, marketing, website maintenance and distribution. Later, there will be opportunities to build up a detailed understanding of copyright, royalty administration, production and editorial practice.
Musical literacy (in terms of notation and knowledge of the repertoire), a firm command of English language and usage, strong numeracy and first-rate computer skills are essential for the post. The chosen candidate will also have a well-organized and flexible approach and a willingness to learn.
