About the Course:

The MPA Intermediate course will provide a more in-depth look at the music publishing business and will expand on topics explored on the MPA Induction Course. It will provide more extensive training for people who are at the mid-level stage in their career. It is for people seeking to refine their existing knowledge and gain a more hands-on, practical understanding of the music publishing business.

The course will be split into five sessions, across three months at the beginning of 2019. From 28th Jan to 25th March. You will be able to book onto all five sessions or individual sessions. Each session will cover a different aspect of the music publishing business, from Sync and Grand Rights, to Legal and Print Publishing. The course programme can be viewed below.

The course will be run by Dennis Collopy (IP and Music Rights Researcher, Music Publisher, Artist Manager).

  • When: Each session will run from 5.30pm to 8.30pm (Registration opens at 5.00pm)
  • Where: Each session will take place at the PPL Office in Soho (1 Upper James St, Soho, London W1F 9DE, UK)

Prices:

  • MPA Members (MPA Members can book all 5 sessions for a discounted rate – £37.50 + VAT (£45) per session or £166.67 + VAT (£200) for all five sessions.
  • MMF Members – £58.33 + VAT (£70) per session or £291.65 + VAT (£350) for all five sessions.
  • Non-Members –  £83.33 + VAT (£100) per session or £416.65 + VAT (£500) for all five sessions.

Please note all of the above are subject to an online booking fee of 1.4%.


Terms & Conditions:

  1. Bookings can only be confirmed on receipt of a completed application form (online or via booking form), accompanied by a cheque or by notification of a secure BACS payment. A receipted invoice will be sent to the named contact after the booking has been confirmed. If the booking cannot be confirmed your cheque will be returned, or BACS payment reimbursed.
  2. Once the booking has been confirmed, that person for whom the booking has been made will be contacted separately with full details of the event.
  3. No refunds can be made in connection with this event once your booking has been accepted and confirmed.
  4. In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled the MPA cannot be held accountable for any pre-booked travel costs.
