Copyright Licensing for Visually Impaired People

The MPA has developed a licensing scheme under the Copyright (Visually Impaired Persons) Act 2002. The scheme governs multiple copying of printed music for the benefit of visually impaired people by educational and not for profit bodies in place of the Act.

Companies who wish to reproduce printed music using braille or large print formats can do so by applying for a licence through the MPA rather than having to directly approach MPA member companies who hold copyrights to the music. To apply, please print out and fill in the form below and send it to the MPA with payment of £5 (cheques should be made out to MPA Ltd) at the following address:

MPA Ltd
6th Floor, British Music House
26 Berners Street
London W1T 3LR
