Tim Ingham announced as non-executive director of IMPEL

Independent Music Publishers e-Licensing (IMPEL) has announced Tim Ingham as non-executive director.

Tim, a former editor of UK trade magazine Music Week, is the founder of Music Business Worldwide (MBW). Launched in January 2015, MBW has quickly become a leading provider of analysis and news on the global music industry, with ambitious expansion plans in the works for 2016.

A respected commentator for national and international media, Tim has also written about the music business for titles as diverse as The Guardian, The Independent, The Observer, The Daily Mail and NME.

In 2014, he was named one of the world’s 500 Most Influential Britons – and one of the 20 most influential British music execs – by The Sunday Times & Debrett’s.

IMPEL was established in 2010, enabling independent publishers to collectively license their Anglo-American mechanical digital rights on a pan-European basis.

Its 40+ members include the likes of Beggars Music, Bucks Music Group, Imagem Music, Mute Song Ltd, peermusic, The Music Sales Group and Warp Music Limited, and represent some of the world’s preeminent songwriters and composers.

Along with the MPA, MCPS and PMLL, IMPEL is part of the MPA Group of Companies.
