ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, offering assessments to more than 630,000 candidates in 93 countries every year. We support the teaching and learning of music, in partnership with the Royal Schools of Music. Our mission is to inspire achievement in music. ABRSM Publishing is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ABRSM.

ABRSM is seeking a dynamic individual to join its Products and Services department as a Project Editor. Working within the publishing team, you’ll be responsible for juggling multiple projects simultaneously, managing and preparing ABRSM’s published music products and exam-support materials. This includes developing content for a wide range of products in print, audio and online media, liaising with and coordinating consultants and freelancers where appropriate.

You will have considerable experience of publishing project management, particularly in commissioning and editing music and text content for educational music products. Digitally savvy and financially aware, you will have a good understanding of publishing software and systems, and of end-to-end publishing processes. You will enjoy finding innovative solutions to challenges, keeping numerous plates spinning, and working in collaboration with colleagues across the business and with external experts to create market-leading, customer-focused products. You will have knowledge of a broad spectrum of music genres, an understanding of the current music education environment, and passion for the benefits of music learning and progression.

In return for your commitment we can offer you an opportunity to widen your experience in educational music publishing within the world’s leading music exam board.
