THE MPA & TRAINING
The MPA is committed to supporting the professional development of those already working in the music publishing industry, those working for related organisations and individuals seeking to enter the music business.
Working alongside colleagues across the music industry, the MPA is also actively involved in strengthening the training infrastructure for the music business as a whole, and providing clear guidance for new or potential entrants.
MPA Courses
The MPA and MMF Training run a joint Music Publishing Professional Development Programme, consisting of five two-evening modules, each involving an expert panel and designed to inform delegates about a particular aspect of the business of music publishing. Click here for more information.
The MPA also runs a regular programme of training events for its members and others with an interest or involvement in music publishing.
Speakers at the MPA Induction Course
The MPA organises four Induction Courses a year for those new to, or seeking to enter, the business of music publishing. The one and a half day course is designed to provide an essential overview of the music publishing industry, its organisations and their roles and is delivered by a range of speakers drawn from the MPA, member publishers, MCPS, PRS and British Music Rights.

- The co-ordination of the Music Leaders Network, a strand of the Cultural Leadership Programme.
- Representation on the Steering Group for MusicTank, the UK’s music business network.
