MPA Annual General Meeting and Conference (The Future of Music Publishing)

Location: MCPS-PRS Alliance Boardroom, London W1T
Date: Tuesday 10 July 2007

PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT IS FOR MPA MEMBERS AND INVITED GUESTS ONLY.

The MPA will be hosting its AGM on Tuesday 10 July 2007 in the MCPS-PRS Alliance Boardroom at Copyright House, 29-33 Berners Street. We are taking this opportunity to offer our members and guests a more comprehensive chance to look at and comment on those issues most relevant to music publishers today and in the future. The day will consist of three phases: a formal AGM, a conference and series of panel discussions and a musical showcase in the evening. The aim of conference phase is to enable members to voice their opinions and reach some sort of consensus as to where the industry stands at present, what opportunities and threats the future holds for it and how best to deal with these.

The day’s keynote speech will be given by Gerd Leonhard, prominent music futurist and author of The Future of Music, and Ralph Simon (Co-founder of Zomba and Chairman Emeritus of the Mobile Music Forum) and Jeremy Silver (CEO of Sibelius Software) will be moderating the first two panel discussions.

The day’s events will finish off at the Gibson on Rathbone St, where the MPA will be putting on drinks and a showcase for attendees.
